QR Chapter 8
This chapter was about teaching teenagers who are still learning English. Teaching students who are still learning English will be slightly better if you know more about their lives, where they are originally from, and how much they already know. Instead of assigning written work, have more class or group discussions so that the students can work on their oral skills, which will help to improve their social skills as well. Teachers should not assume that the students can not do their work simply because English isn't their first language or because they are having difficulty with the language. The students will never be able to prove themselves and their own knowledge if the teacher does the work for them because they assume that the student isn't capable.
