Is there a way to make sure that students do not act up?
I had a student misbehave while I was substituting for my mentor teacher. I tried to stay calm instead of yelling, and I sent him to the principal's office. I then got on the phone with the principal and told him that I was sending a student to see him and told him what had happened. I think that the only better way I could have handled it would have been if I had taken the student out into the hall to speak with him instead of speaking to him in front of the whole class.
