Copyright and Fair Use QR

I thought that question 4 was interesting. If a state demands that schools use more technological software, why don't they also give them the money to buy the software so that they can use it? How can they expect students to learn if their school doesn't have the resources they need? For question 8, I don't understand why the student is not allowed to use the clip. As long as he is using the clip for educational purposes, why is it not allowed? For question 10, I don't understand why teachers aren't allowed to collaborate and help each other out. Isn't that why we all work at the same school in the first place? So that we can learn from each other and help each other out so that our students can learn more? I REALLY don't understand question 11. Fair Use and Copyright laws are for educational purposes, but this is definitely not educational! The students are making fun of the cast and aren't really learning anything useful, such as how hard it was to live like that in the 1800's. I can sort of understand why question 14 is not allowed. What really threw me off when I read that question was that if it's not allowed by law, why do schools, dentist offices, and doctor's offices use movies to entertain waiting kids? The article said that Fair Use was intended for educational purposes. If this is true, why is the teacher not allowed to use clips as starting points for his lessons? They obviously have some tie into what the class is learning, and he is not using the entire movie. For question 16, I was shocked to find out that stores are allowed to sell electronics that defeat copy protection...isn't that called pirating? I was hesitant when I answered question 19 because that's exactly what my highschool did for our graduation, though we didn't use the top 10 songs, we used songs that we felt described the time we spent together k-12 or 7-12.
